In Her Own Words
I am---or have been---a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, grandmother, neighbor, a "Miss", a Mrs." and a "Ms."
I am---or have been---a waitress, cashier, telephone operator, radio-talk show host, licensed Marriage Counselor, Trnsactional Analysis Instructor, newspaper columnist, author, political activist, businesswoman, Motivational Counselor, an adament capitalist of Libertarian persuasion, and a few other things too numerous to mention.
These are roles I have played. They do not accurately define who, or what, I am.
I am a spiritual being having a chosen human experience. My preference of personal labels reads simply: "My name is Elizabeth. My nickname is "Tree". I am a poet."
What Others Say
Pierre-Rene' Noth, Editor, Rome News-Tribune, Rome, GA: "If Elizabeth Andrews wrote it you can be sure it is worth reading."
Charley Reese, syndicated columnist: "I wish some of today's feminists could meet Elizabeth ..."
Dr. Doug Laipple, Psychiatrist "I applaud Elizabeth and the women for whom she has re-energized herself through countless hours of counseling and teaching. Such women had to crawl through their own private hells to learn from what direction comes the Light. Elizabeth is now reaching back to that long weary line of women behind her, saying, "Come this way. The Light is just around the corner. Here. Give me your hand. We're almost home."
Dr. Roy Graves, Former Minister, Winter Park Church of Religious Science: "Elizabeth, do you have any idea the powerful effect your written words have on others?"
Helen Schnelker, Former owner, Editor, Citizens News, Longwood, FL: "Elizabeth's column received more response than any we published on the op-ed page."
Steve Palmer, Former TAW student, Businessman: "I believe TAW (The Angel Within) is a common demoniator of all spiritual thinking. I not only believe in the program I also believe in the lady who wrote it ... who has, along the way, become my friend."

A Scientist Prays
God, do you mind if I look and I find
Your face in all faces, a sameness in races
and your power in the power of my mind?
Do you mind if today we cancel the prayers
and I go to my neighbor and Friend
and tell her I found by watching the ground
that ants have no concept of sin?
Do you mind if my church is the life that I live
if it's lived in a loving way
and the hymn that I sing is the joy I bring
to my brother who passes this way?
Do you mind if the wind as it touches my skin
becomes Your touch to me
and the love that we share for the rose in my hair
makes us one ... You, the rose, and me?
Do you mind if You are the light of the star
that I saw from my window just now
and the frog in that tree sounds god-like to me.
Do you mind if I sing and not bow?
God, do you mind?
