About Elizabeth

In Her Own Words

I am---or have been---a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, grandmother, neighbor, a "Miss", a Mrs."  and a "Ms."

I am---or have been---a waitress, cashier, telephone operator, radio-talk show host, licensed Marriage Counselor, Trnsactional Analysis Instructor,  newspaper columnist, author, political activist, businesswoman, Motivational Counselor, an adament capitalist of Libertarian persuasion, and a few other things too numerous to mention.

These are roles I have played. They do not accurately define who, or what, I am.

I am a spiritual being having a chosen human experience. My preference of personal labels reads simply: "My name is Elizabeth. My nickname is "Tree". I am a poet."

~~~~~
Try Me, Lord
I
will not
 run from dark
clouds or storms
that seek to pull me
from my path.
I will not bow
when lightening strikes
 to exercise some god-like wrath.
No cave I'll seek.
 No cove.
 No shelter, high and dry.
But raise an undefeated face to God
and lift a fist, full-clenched,
against the
sky.
